Background and Perspective

Luke’s work is shaped by three overlapping roles:

Operator

Running Terramor Farm means working daily with the realities of vegetable and flower production and business ownership. Luke knows firsthand the challenges of labour limits, weather, cash flow, and fatigue, and the reality that systems only matter if people can actually follow them.

Educator

Luke teaches and supports farmers through courses, presentations, and program development, bringing lived experience and operational context to every setting.

Consultant

Through Trellis, Luke supports both individual farms and larger initiatives by bringing operational thinking into planning, design, and decision-making, helping align systems, people, and goals for a holistic approach to each venture.

Work with Market Gardener Institute

Luke works closely with the Market Gardener Institute as an educator and consulting partner, contributing practical, operator-led insight across education, program development, and platform improvement.

His work with Market Gardener Institute includes:

  • Teaching and consulting within the Heirloom crop planning platform
  • Designing and teaching the Crop Plan Accelerator course
  • Contributing to the Crop Planning module within the Market Gardener Institute Masterclass
  • Serving as a Canopy-certified consultant and online expert within the Market Gardener Institute community
